Images of the solar eclipse line of totality 4th December 2002

The following photos were taken with my crap digital camera a Kodak DC25 which is about 5 years old.

This is an unfiltered view of the sun during the early stages of the eclipse.  The camera isn't able to deal too well with the amount of light.

This is a photo taken at about the same time but through the dark tinted glass from a welding mask

Almost completely eclipsed, the camera is almost able to cope with the light levels

Only moments prior to totality.  The flash was on.  The bright patch is the reflective vest a policeman standing about 50 metres away was wearing.

At the moment of totality.

it's all over... the sun shines once more.
